Before going to Niah National Park, I heard that Bukit Kasut has amazing views. I was hoping to get the chance to explore Niah National Park. Finally, I was there in the year 2019. My feeling was Bukit Kasut is really nice place. I can escape from the busy city to take a short break and heal my mind. When I crossed Bukit Kasut, there were a lot of small animals and flowers that are rarely seen in the city, such as orchids, fungi, squirrels, etc. I’m willing to sign this petition because Niah National Park is worth becoming a Unesco heritage site.
A challenging cave exploring! It is humid and stuffy inside the cave. The formation of limestones has been through the day and night for thousands of years. I feel safe during cave exploring because there are rangers who are responsible to guide and give instructions before we enter the caves. It is recommended to bring a torchlight and gloves for cave exploring. This is one of my unforgettable adventures in Niah.
When I went to the Niah National Park as my third adventure trip, my feeling is Niah National Park should be shortlisted as UNESCO World Heritage. I found that there are many precious creations that need preservation such as over 200 excavated human burials from the Neolithic era, 20 skeletons from the early Holocene, and others. I really recommend that UNESCO World Heritage can choose Niah National Park as part of the valuable exposure to the world.
Niah National Park has maintained its ecologically sustainable. The human being, fauna, and flora are living peacefully. I see the hard work of personnel who maintain the landscaping and cleanliness of the park. Maintenance is important to maintain the natural heritage and to keep it beautiful all the time. Thank you for the hard work and keep it up, team!
I signed this petition because we couldn’t afford to watch ancient culture getting lost especially traditional skills.
In my opinion, the Niah National Park can be a UNESCO World Heritage. This is because we can bring our children to Niah National Park to experience the natural habitat of 40,000 years. It can help our children to explore and understand the tradition and history of how the ancient people come to Niah, Sarawak.
